Ever driven by our brand reputation — built over 25+ years through frontline business experience in the textile and yarn industry — we ensure every batch of yarn is produced with the same rigour and attention to quality. Today, the brand’s capabilities include weaving and knitting yarn of Viscose, Liva Eco, Modal and Lyocell ranging from the 20s to 60s count using 28 Vortex Spinning machines and 10,000 Ring Spindles with a capacity of close to 50mt tones per day. S.Senthilnathan (Sen)
Managing Director
S. Senthilnathan joined the Board of Rasi Seeds Group to lead the textile arm of the group in 1999. The division benefited greatly from Sen's extensive industry experience and leadership skills, soon earning renown as the country's best and highest quality yarn manufacturer. Later, as Executive Director of Rasi Seeds, he oversaw finance and administration and was Director-in-Charge when the vegetable seed vertical was established. In 2013, Sen was handed the mantle of Rasi's cottonseed business, where he ably led the brand back to its position as a national leader.
As the Executive Chairman of the ACSEN Group (formed in 2016 since its demerger from the Rasi Seeds Group), Sen leads a team of 1,000 employees across its vegetable seed (ACSEN Agriscience) and textile (ACSEN Tex) verticals.
At ACSEN Agriscience, he sets and evolves the organization's strategy for purposeful growth while nurturing a strong team to drive its execution. His strategy includes operational excellence, creating new markets, the pursuit of differentiation and responsible business development.
Sen is passionate about serving farmers by helping them earn more profits per acre, building a trusting and purposeful ambiance in the organization that nurtures transformational innovations and positive climate and health action. They fall in line with the ACSEN Group's core belief of a Happy Planet, Healthy People.
In addition to his professional career at ACSEN, Sen was the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industries—Salem from 2012-13 and the CII Tamil Nadu Agri and Food Processing Panel Convener for three years since April 2018. He is an elected member of the executive committee of the Asia and Pacific Seed Alliance.
Sen is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the College of Engineering, Guindy, and a post-graduate from Loyola Institute of Business Administration with a Masters in Management Studies. He worked in L&T for nine years before transitioning to Rasi Seeds Group and establishing the ACSEN Group.
From providing the basics for quality education to making mindful parenting and tutoring a reality, our Enriching Young Minds program aims to better children’s lives. As part of our various initiatives, we work with parents, teachers, and children to ensure that the value of holistic education is understood, embraced, and acted upon.
ACSEN Foundation’s flagship rejuvenation project, the Manivizhundan Lake project, started in 2021 to provide long-term solutions in restoring water bodies, recharging groundwater and offer ing access to safe and reliable water supply for local communities.With meticulous planning, consistent effort and community-driven partnerships with groups like the Salem Ornithological Foundation, Salim Ali Institute of Ornithology and Natural History, Forest College and Research Institute in Coimbatore, the project has grown to include tree plantation drives, biodiversity conservation efforts and the latest addition to The Asian Waterbird Census 2022.
The Foundations for the Future initiative plays a crucial role in solving the problem of access to quality school infrastructure and developing an environment that fosters a curiosity to learn. Our education initiative aims to provide students, despite their geography, with access to quality education and educational facilities and tackle inequality and inequity at the roots. We do this by collaborating with local governments across the country to upgrade government school infrastructure — ensuring that students feel supported and valued in their pursuits.
ACSEN in association with Salem Policy conducting Road safety awareness programs, thus educating the commuters about the need to follow the rules. ACSEN also taken up the training and awareness camps for Women on their health aspects, especially for anaemia.
